Dennis Clifton was born in Lakeport, California in 1947. He was raised in Northern California enjoying life on small farms and exploring the nearby streams, mountains, and Pacific Ocean. His love of the farm life and animals led him to study veterinary medicine at the University of California, Davis and a 35 year career as a small animal veterinarian in Marin County, California.
The discovery of photography as a college student kindled a love of the art and science of making a fine photograph. The challenge of exciting the imagination of the viewer of a photograph continues to hold Dennis’ passion. A great photograph continues to reward both the artist and audience with joy, excitement and questions.
Dennis Clifton is presently searching for beautiful subjects aboard his cruising sailboat, Shamaness in Mexico during the winter months. Summer photography finds Dennis sailing on San Francisco Bay, and Bodega Bay, as well as exploring the many beautiful landscapes in Marin County and Northern California .His portfolio includes many photographs of seascapes photography, boat photography , sunset photography , wildlife photography and panoramas photography from Baja California, the Sea of Cortez, Puerto Vallarta and most recently, photographs of Vancouver and Desolation Sound, British Columbia.
